Writing has been a constant companion in my life. I have countless folders of scraps of paper and journals on every book shelf.

But my novel-writing career began when a writing competition caught my eye. My favourite author was selecting bright new talent. I just wanted the thrill of knowing he might read my work. It gave me the push I needed to get my words down on paper and the desire to have people read my words has never left me.
